Story behind the song
This song was composed on 8/7/2025. Having recently composed music where I tried to put myself in the position of members of the seven churches of Revelation 2 and 3 and how I might respond to those messages, I asked myself, What would God say if He was writing a letter to His church today? I felt that, at least to me, His message would be to share His gospel more openly, in spite of potential trials (as Jeremiah did in his day). This song should not be taken as a slam on any of the churches I've ever joined. Rather, it is a slam on me for not more freely sharing the gospel.

1 I am a member of the ambivalent church when I think that all things are well
While millions of people in the outside world are on the highway to Hell.
People ignore the most important questions in life.
They don't ask the question, What happens when I die?
Give me boldness to tell how people can avoid Hell. Skip the eternal flames by trusting in Jesus name.

The urgency of the emergency is we can't go on living like this.
People are dying while Satan keeps lying, depriving them of Heavens bliss.
2 I am a member of the ambivalent church when I don't share Your Word as I should.
I need not go far from my own backyard to find lost souls in my neighborhood.
Why is my heart that cold, as to not share the Word
of life that You give until every lost soul has heard?
Make my heart burn within to share You in spite of the trials, that Your Word may be heard by every man, woman, and child.
