A track of the "Malibu Jukebox" CD about a girl so popular that it bores her. The arrangement has one foot in the 70's and the other in the 60's, with a decidedly Beach Boys chorus.
s mi l e beach boys 60s
Power pop with a decidedly 60's sound. Lotsa Brian Wilson influence in vocals and arrangements in general.

Story behind the song
The girl that can get any superficial thing she wants and only does because she can. easy to see through and hard to understand. And I can't look away...
Lyrics
Angela made some mistakes She finds it so amusing No shortage of friendly conversation Tokens of appreciation They’re no intrusion on Angela Angela has to smile In the mirror when she rises She loves to play the victim Being bored is her decision There’s no surprises for Angela Angela - she made you look Angela - a name she took From the cover of the only book she ever read... Angela was born to dance She’s everybody’s party girl No danger being in the middle Just a rumor in this little corner of the world called Angela She is to have and hold Angela is old enough to know better Damn the consequences Her reality is make-believe but Then again, she’s always good as gold Angela is growing up She’s in another world What could she be thinking of or dreaming up Angela - she made you smile Angela - it’s just her styl INVALID You can never really understand her wild side Angela - she made you look Angela - a name she took From the cover of the only book she ever read...

I knew a kid at school called Angela - this could be about her! Absolutely brilliant - love the arrangement and melody. The production is sensational.
Quite a trip, styles and influences and eras all tied together in a way that's pure Matt.
